Small Groups
From Scripture we understand that the members of a local church are obligated to build one another up in the faith. The church’s leadership is charged to equip the body to do that building work. Small groups are one important way we facilitate relationships through which members of the body build up one another. Our small groups spend time studying the Word, applying our Sunday sermons, praying for one another, and organizing to advance our mission in the community.
Members are encouraged to be a part of one of these types of groups:
- Men’s or women’s groups
- Mixed groups, including both genders and a mix of families, couples and singles, usually organized geographically
- Newly married groups for couples in their first years of marriage or in their engagement period
- Other targeted groups on an as-needed basis
