Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."

Matthew 19:14

Children are a gift from God and it is our privilege to provide a safe and creative environment that directs them toward the love of Jesus Christ. Children’s ministry is available for infants through fifth grade and you can learn more below.

We offer a safe nursery environment for children (8-months through Pre-K) during the Sunday worship services and our Life Class hour. In the nursery, preschoolers enjoy Bible stories, games, songs, and many other exciting activities on Sunday mornings and are cared for by loving, nurturing teachers.
Please print and complete the form below and bring it with you the first time you drop your child(ren) off in the nursery. The nursery is for babies through pre-kindergarten. Kinder through 5th grade attend KidsPointe (see below) during morning worship.

Life Class

In addition to our adult Life Classes (9 am), we offer a Kids’ Life Class for children (K-5th grade). The Kids’ Life Class is studying The Gospel Project, which walks kids through the sweep of biblical redemptive history. This Kids’ Life Class is available whenever the adult classes are taking place.

While we love for families to worship together, we do offer KidsPointe as a gospel-centered alternative for children (K-5th grade) during the morning worship service. Children are dismissed during the morning worship service (at the start of the sermon). During the large group time, adults teach gospel-rich lessons using curriculum from The Gospel Story.

The Gospel Story Curriculum teaches children that the Bible is one continuous story pointing to Jesus as the hero. The lessons present key stories from Genesis to Revelation, each highlighting God’s plan of redemption in a way that’s engaging, interactive, and easy to understand. After learning the Bible story in each lesson, the curriculum shares how each story connects to the bigger picture of the gospel, tying Jesus into each lesson.

The concepts presented during the large group lesson are then reinforced through various small group activities.

For children visiting KidsPointe for the first time, we require the parent to accompany the child and complete a visitor slip with emergency contact information. For those attending regularly, please register here:

Children's Catechism Class (CCC)

Children 3 years old to 5th grade meet on the 2nd and 4th Sundays during Prayer Services or Member’s Meetings from 5 pm to 6:20 pm. Children remain with their parents in the auditorium until they are dismissed at the end of the praise and worship portion of the service.

The kids  get a sheet with the expected memory verse (and Q&A if appropriate). They go over the memory items that week and attempt to recite the items to earn points. If they return and can recite a previous week’s item, they earn more points. We have a lesson and game time in addition to Scripture memory.

3-4 years old Program
This program is for potty-trained 3 and 4 year olds. We use the AWANA Cubbies lesson and memory verses.

Grades K-5th Program
We use the New City Catechism for our lesson and Scripture memory

Safety in Children's Ministry

Our Child Protection Policy is in place at High Pointe to keep our children safe. This means we do everything from background checking all caregivers, to requiring workers to go through our child protection training, to keeping careful classroom adult to child ratios. Only members of High Pointe, who have been members for over 6 months, are allowed to pursue volunteering in the children's ministry.
