2025: A Year In Review
This Sunday night, December 14, we gathered for our last members’ meeting of 2025. As we look back on the year, we thank the Lord for all his kindnesses toward us in Christ. Our gracious God and Father, lavished us with grace upon grace, and we are humbled and grateful. Join us in praising God for his goodness and thanking him for his generosity to us. Here are some highlights…
New Elder(s)
We regularly ask the Lord to raise up faithful men who will be able to teach others. That’s what elders do, and faithful churches are led by faithful pastors. On Sunday night, we affirmed Daniel Walker as our newest elder and nominated Mark Cambranis to serve as an elder. Daniel will be installed this Sunday during our morning gathering. Mark will be presented to the congregation for affirmation at our February 22, 2026 members’ meeting.
Join us in asking the Lord to continue to raise up godly elders to serve High Pointe.
New Members
In his kindness, the Lord continues to bring new members to High Pointe who are growing in Christ and ready to serve. In 2025, the Lord added 53 new members. Additionally, we have another 7 who are pending baptism. We rejoice in the Lord’s blessings of new members.
Join us in asking the Lord to continue to bring new members to High Pointe who are godly, mature, and ready to serve. Also, ask the Lord to allow us to see the fruit of conversion from our evangelistic conversations and invitations to come to church.
New Constitution
We also adopted a newly revised constitution. There were no major changes. You may look at our new constitution HERE.
Growing Budget Income
For our 2025-2026 budget, we adopted the theme, Building a Financial Foundation for a Fruitful Ministry. In 2022, we sent off 47 members, along with about $140,000 in budget giving. Consequently, our income in 2023 was only $1,266,575.35 (about $200,000 less than 2022). And yet, in 2024, we saw our budget giving increase by about $100,000 to $1,365,211.84. And already our budget income for the new budget year is ahead of last year.
Join us in thanking God for his generosity toward us and his continued financial blessings. Ask God to continue to grow our giving, as we are behind in a lot of deferred maintenance around our building.
The Lord has been truly kind to us in 2025, and we acknowledge that every good and perfect gift is from him. His past faithfulness encourages us to trust him for future grace in 2026.

High Pointe Christmas Missions Offering | Reaching the Least Reached
Our church is joyfully participating in a Christmas Missions Offering that includes but is not limited to the Lottie Moon IMB Christmas Offering. Your gifts will support a specific Lottie Moon IMB strategic project among some of the least reached peoples in the world. Rather than giving only to the general fund, we are directing a portion of our gifts to those working among people in hard to reach places with little or no access to the gospel. Our goal is $27,000.
Your gifts will also support training for local pastors in Africa and assist two strategic efforts among Muslim peoples in North Africa—one involving a veteran worker planting churches and training leaders, the other supporting a newly arrived worker learning language and culture. By directing our gifts more specifically, we strengthen our partnership with supported workers we know well, some of whom we've sent out from High Pointe.
Praise God, we have already raised $11, 358.41 of this goal! For ways to give, please click here.
HPBC Christmas Card Exchange
To help our members exchange Christmas cards and save on postage, there is a box in the foyer where you may place your Christmas cards according to alphabetical order. Please check this box throughout the month.

Please pray for their consistency and perseverance in language acquisition, for deep and authentic friendships to develop, and for their children to thrive and find joy during this significant transition.
