Building a Financial Foundation for Fruitful Ministry
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Matthew 6:19–21
Dear High Pointe Family,
Thank you for your generosity! You are gracious and generous in many ways. As we end 2025 and look forward to the new year, allow me to remind us of our new October 2025-September 2026 budget theme and goal.
Jesus reminds us that how we handle our resources reflects where our hearts truly rest. As a church, our treasure is not in programs, though they help us organize how we disciple one another. It’s not in buildings, though our building provides a place for us to gather. And it is not in budgets for their own sake, though budgets reflect our agreed-upon priorities for gospel ministry. Every resource entrusted to us is an opportunity to invest in what will last forever. By investing in gospel ministry, we invest in what is eternal.
This year’s budget theme, “Building a Financial Foundation for Fruitful Ministry,” captures our commitment to establish a strong and wise stewardship base for long-term gospel impact. A solid financial foundation allows us to support faithful preaching, disciple-making, missions, and mercy ministries. Like a house built on the rock, our ministry rests securely when it is grounded both in Christ and in the careful stewardship of God’s people.
When we give generously and wisely, we are laying up treasure in heaven. The fruit of our financial faithfulness is seen in transformed lives: men and women coming to Christ, children and students being discipled, marriages strengthened, and the gospel spreading to the nations. Every gift, no matter the size, is an eternal investment.
Thank you for joining us in this vision. Now, join us in praying that the Lord would allow us to give joyfully, sacrificially, and generously to the work of the gospel for his glory, our good, and the joy of all peoples.
