Purpose: To Affirm Robert Cline as an Elder and Senior Associate Pastor

Dear High Pointe Family,
On March 29, the elders nominated Robert Cline to serve as an elder and our senior associate pastor. Throughout the New Testament, brothers were commended to congregations when they were not known by them (Philippians 2:19-24). Likewise, the elders commend Robert Cline to you as a faithful, mature brother who can teach and delights in caring for God’s flock wherever God has placed him.
You had the opportunity to begin getting to know Robert during his recent visit from March 24-April 1. You may read the brief bio of Robert we shared in our March 13 E-news HERE. Robert preached at High Pointe on Sunday morning, March 24. You may listen to his sermon HERE. We also briefly interviewed Robert before the congregation on Sunday night, March 24, and then prayed for God’s will for both High Pointe and the Clines. Robert also made himself available during the week for anyone who wanted to meet with him.
The elders and the Clines have both seen God’s kind providence in leading us to one another. So, it is with joy that the elders commend Robert Cline to serve as an elder and senior associate pastor. Please join us on Sunday, April 14, at 5:00 p.m. John Thompson, our moderator, will call the special members’ meeting to order, distribute the ballots, and ask you to vote. After the vote, we will continue with our regular prayer service.
Thank you for your prayers during our search process. We rejoice in what the Lord is doing in and through High Pointe, and we are confident that the Lord has even better things in store for us in the future. We believe Robert and Rona Cline are a part of God’s blessings to us.
Life Classes
Life Classes are meant to equip High Pointe for life as a Christian. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity and join us. This session, we are offering the following classes from April 7 to May 26:
On-Call Pastor
To better care for you, High Pointe, we have an “on-call” pastor available for emergencies after office hours and on weekends. To reach the on-call pastor, call 512-837-7725, extension 1.
Preaching Schedule: Pray regularly for the ministry of the Word at High Pointe. Also, prepare for our gatherings by reading the sermon text, thinking it through, and asking questions about the text before Sunday. Here is our (tentative) preaching schedule designed to help you prepare for Sundays:
